POS system in Nigeria for restaurants, bars & shops

A POS that keeps selling when the internet drops. Windows, Android and web tills, supervisor PINs on voids, discount limits, cashier shifts and stock that follows every sale. Used in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Sell on a Windows till, an Android phone or tablet, or any browser. The till keeps working when the internet drops. Voids, discounts and price changes are controlled and recorded, every shift is opened and closed against its cash, and stock comes off the shelf with each sale.

What a busy night does to a till, and how to stop it

Works offline

The internet goes down in the middle of service. The till freezes, the queue grows, and staff start writing orders on paper. The Windows till carries on taking orders and printing receipts with no connection, then sends everything to the cloud when the line returns.

Void approval

A guest pays cash. Ten minutes later the order is voided and the money never reaches the drawer. A void asks for a supervisor’s PIN and a reason. Who voided, who approved and why are on the cashier report that night.

Discount limits

Discounts are handed out at the till to friends, regulars and anyone who asks nicely. Nobody set a limit, so nobody broke one. Set the discount a cashier may give. Anything above it needs a manager’s PIN, and every discount is listed by staff member.

Shift open and close

The drawer is short. Two cashiers shared the till all evening, so there is no way to say whose shift lost the money. Each cashier opens and closes their own shift. The report shows what they sold, by payment method, against what is in the drawer.
